# Documentation project instructions

## About this project

* This is a documentation site built on [Mintlify](https://mintlify.com)
* Pages are MDX files with YAML frontmatter
* Configuration lives in `docs.json`
* Use the Mintlify MCP server, `https://mcp.mintlify.com`, to edit content and settings via MCP
* Use the Mintlify docs MCP server, `https://www.mintlify.com/docs/mcp`, to query information about using Mintlify via MCP

## Terminology

* Write the product name as `virtual.fit`.
* Use **virtual.fit** or **dashboard** for the merchant experience.
* Use **fitting room** for the storefront experience and **try-on** for one generated preview.
* Use **shopper** for the merchant's customer.
* Preserve `window.bitstudio`, `window.BitStudio`, and `bitstudio-*` as compatibility identifiers.
* Do not use `bitStudio` as the product name in new prose.

## Style preferences

* Use active voice and second person ("you")
* Keep sentences concise — one idea per sentence
* Use sentence case for headings
* Bold for UI elements: Click **Settings**
* Code formatting for file names, commands, paths, and code references

## Content boundaries

* Document merchant-facing Shopify and Custom JavaScript integration workflows.
* Document public storefront behavior and supported browser APIs.
* Do not document internal admin tools, deployment scripts, private credentials, or implementation-only endpoints.
* Treat virtual.fit as the source of truth for product availability, access limits, and shopper settings.
